An unidentified PFF plane involved in a landing accident on Apr 25th, 1944.

The same plane in the above picture - possibly 42-97552. The U had not yet been painted in the group triangle on the tail. This plane was received on Mar 1st 1944 from the 303rd Bomb Group.
