These are photos of Group Mission #174 to Cologne, Germany on Jan 14th, 1945. The Allies were just breaking out of the battle of the bulge and pushing the Germany army back to Germany. This tactical mission was to destroy a bridge across the Rhine to prevent supplies from arriving and troops from fleeing. Bombing results were excellent.
These are photos of Group Mission #126 to Osnabruck, Germany on Sept 26th, 1944. The target here were the marshalling yards at Osnabruck, just north of Munster. Major Watson led the 457th and each Squadron dropped visually and separately on the target. The results were good.
This was Group Mission #236 to Seddin, Germany on Apr 20th, 1945. The target here was the marshalling yard at Seddin just south of Berlin. The bomb run was made in squadron formation and each dropped visually. Bombing results were excellent. The marshalling yards can be seen at the top of the first photo and at the bottom of the second.
